When it comes to the UFO debate, there are some that believe that the US military is covering up the evidence that aliens have visited us. If it was true that aliens had visited the Earth, and the US military was covering it up, I would have to say that I would be shocked, and somewhat ashamed of our military. On the other hand, do we really know that these UFO sightings really come from alien beings? What if they are something else entirely?
If UFO’s really are some sort of secret spacecraft, then what exactly is it? Could it be that aliens are piloting the crafts, and using them to observe our civilization? Or could it be that the US military has been developing secret technology, and that it needs to keep the secrets under wraps? Personally I believe that the latter is more accurate, that there is just some sort of technology that needs to be kept secret.
The thing that I don’t understand about the UFO theories is that if they are being driven by aliens, where is the proof? I realize it would be hard to find direct proof of a UFO crash if the military was keeping it under tight wraps, but where is any proof at all? Where are the scrap pieces of a UFO, where is a single good piece of video shot of a UFO, that can be proved definitely as a vehicle from another world?
Personally, I think it makes more sense that these UFO’s are not alien in nature because even if it was top secret technology, the US government would want to keep it a secret. I don’t think they necessarily want to keep Americans in the dark, but if another nation got a crack at whatever technology we have, would we want it getting out? It isn’t out of the question for a US civilian or scientist to go out and just sell our secrets for a nice payday.
I think that someday we will know what exactly is going on with UFO’s. It just seems too odd that the most evidence we have about UFO’s just happens to occur from 1947 to now, which conveniently also coincides with the Cold War, and Vietnam. With the war on terror going on now, we have yet another reason to keep as much technology under wraps as possible. Eventually this technology will come out during wartime, or as something that could help the private sector, and it will be declassified.
For now though, we will just have to keep debating whether or not UFO’s are real. While I don’t discredit the theory entirely, and would be really happy to learn that we are not alone, I just don’t think the evidence suggests that the military would be covering up little green men. There are plenty of good reasons why the military would want to keep the evidence under wraps, without having to involve aliens.
