Would the military cover up UFO information? Our military is not built on
the same guidelines as society. Military life is about following orders
and most importantly, control. Sometimes the illusion of control is as
important as actually having it. I remember being in the Navy and how
looks and shine were more prevalent then functioning weapons. George
Bush (even with lackluster approval and a record of failure’s) almost
never admits any event was not planned for or our forces in control of.
Denial is also a hallmark of military and certain government
organizations. To admit that in our skies we encountered possible alien
life is to invite catastrophe since the masses would panic and their
would be fear in the streets that our forces are not adequate to protect
us from superior technical weapons. At least that is what they think.
Communication is a thorn in the military and governments side these days.
It is much harder to manipulate people and wash away corruption and
mistakes when their is the Internet and video. Just recently a dummy bomb
was dropped accidentally on a apartment complex in Kansas. Dropping a dummy
bomb is bad, but the truth is on May 11, 1958 a nuclear bomb was dropped
on a house in rural South Carolina (house destroyed, no injuries) and
I am sure it did not make the evening news.
If their are alien life forms visiting it is obvious one day they will not
clear their itinerary with the military or government. People have eyes
and minds of their own and will not forget what they see. What if these
aliens simply want to investigate and observe? Most likely if a call is
put out to any unidentified flying aircraft and their is no response it
is safe to say our freedom loving governments actions would be to try and
shoot it down. Shoot first ask questions later. If in fact one day this
event was to go down, alien craft in our airspace, as a democracy it should
be our choice as to whether or not it is shot at. Truth be known if their
is a society as advanced as those invaders in Independence Day, Jeff
Goldblum and Will Smith are not going to save us, and shooting at them sure
isn’t going to help either.
Sometimes the government has the wrong idea of what it means to protect us.
It does not mean invading a country under false pretenses, and it does not
mean keeping secrets from us about air contacts visually or with radar about
things they could not explain. Ultimately it may mean letting something
not manufactured on Earth land without a missile being launched at it.
