57 alien species: Are we alone in the universe?

This is a topic that will be debated forever. Or at least until E.T. shows up to use the phone. There are some interesting programs and books to read on the subject, but it still is up to the viewer or reader to form an opinion.

On our own planet there are discoveries of new species of plants and animals. So why is it so difficult to believe that in a universe as vast as our own, there couldn’t be life.

The hardest thing to accept is that with all the technology we have, not one decent video or photo has shown without a doubt that there have been “visitors” here. There is always a trail of witnesses, maybe some paperwork, and even photos that seem too good to be true are often faked.

If the governent has had contact with another life form, then why keep it secret? Why all the cover-ups and denials? I think if you trust your government and its officials then you believe what they say. If you don’t trust them, then you don’t believe them. So when paperwork is released saying this happened or that happened, then what?

Also add to the debate that it is often said that the life-forms that have visited our planet are highly intelligent. But by whose standards? We can only make informed decisions and theories on what we know. You base your views and beliefs on what you believe. So why think that because something may have come from light years away, and we are not capable of that kind of travel yet that it makes them highly intelligent? Maybe smarter than us in the sense of aviation. But does that make it real?

The UFO debate is a constant issue that has been going on for years. UFO stands for Unidentified Flying Object. When did it change to UFO means alien spacecraft? If you say UFO that is what most of the human population thinks. But that isn’t what it means.

Beyond this, life elsewhere doesn’t mean little grey men or government coverups and secrets.

There is an arrogance that comes with education. What we are taught is possible, is learned by basing possibilities on our own standards and capabilities. Is there room to say this might be possible by using means we haven’t learned yet?

Keeping an open mind and being able to learn is what has taught us everything we know now. So why close off any possibilities to something that we haven’t learned about yet? Until we can investigate the universe and learn more there is no way to make a basic judgement by the rules and standards we use for our own needs to sustain life.

It may sound like a broad expanse of possibilities based on little. But without the proper information, you cannot say what is out there and what isn’t. We know very little about space and the universe. Life in any sense is possible if you don’t have all the facts.
