The environment, scientists who study it have their own opinions on what is going on with it. There is enough information that the environment like everything else does certain things in cycles. This is where there is differences of opinion come in, in the sense that some scientists insist that the environment is just going through one of its cycles, and other feel that we have drastically altered our environment that we caused problems that would fall under the umbrella of global warming.
Given what we have learned about living things we have found that when we intervene to learn or with of the best intentions we have a real impact on the actions and life span of those living things we encounter. Given that the Earth is a living thing, we have to deal with it the same way as any other living thing that we know of in respect to how we go about dealing with how we affect them.
With the fact that we have learned enough about other life forms we have interacted with we know that there is a definite cause and effect situation whether it be positive, negative or both to some degree, we have to use that knowledge to understand that the same thing is going on with the environment. Yes the environment is going through a cycle of increased activity, yet at the same time if we apply what we know about life sciences we have caused the cycle itself to change in some way and to what degree we can only guess given that there were long periods through out human record keeping there were lapses in keeping records, through no fault of our own.
It would not be a wise decision to assume that we have not had any direct affects on the environment that would be drastic enough to change the environment, just look at what happens when sections of or whole rain forests are cut down to make farm land or living space.
It would also not be a wise decision, to assume that everything that happens stems from how we have affected the environment given the appearance of different geographical areas seem more environmentally more stable than others.
In order to understand the full environmental impact we have to look at it like how we deal with treating plants and animals medically. There are things that just affect a small area or certain areas of the plant or animal while other things affect are systemic in nature. Either way there is the potential for a positive outcome and the potential for unwanted side effects that were never intended to occur.
The Traditional Asian Medicine has the right frame of mind to dealing with problems that arise medically in living things, which is what manifests in one place may have its origins in a place that many other cultures would not associate with the affects. It may be worth looking into on the global scale since we do have things like the jet stream in the upper atmosphere and the deep water ocean currents that moves things around and could be considered the Earths arteries so to speak.
Even though the Earth has mountain ranges they can be associated with attributes of other living things even though the mountain ranges appear more exaggerated going by what we view as life forms and their attributes that can be positive or negative. They are there and we are capable of treating them in ways that could be positive, negative or a combination of both.
