Mystery of the Alien Starchild Skull
“Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.” – Marcello Truzzi
Could a skull found by a teenager in 1930s Mexico prove not only the existence of intelligent alien life, but also that an alien/human hybrid program has been underway for hundreds if not thousands of years on our planet?
Researcher Lloyd Pye thinks so.
Pye is adamant that the starchild skull is the real deal and he’s convinced that it is a human/alien hybrid. Is there any compelling data to support this extraordinary assertion?
Oddly enough, there is!
Origin of the Skull: The Copper Canyon Mexican Cave
Several versions of the acquisition of the skull exist; the one depicted here is the most accepted.
As the storyline goes an American teenage girl named Maria was traveling with her family in Mexico during the 1930s. The family was staying near a region known as Copper Canyon. During their stay, Maria went exploring one morning. She discovered a cave and in it the remains of two skeletons. One was a partial skeleton, the other complete. Before leaving the area she returned to see if she could dig them out, but a flash flood in the canyon washed away most of the bones.
She was able to dig out two skulls and she brought them back with her to her home in El Paso, Texas as mementos of her trip. For more than fifty years the skulls sat inside a cardboard box.
When Maria died in the 1990s the skulls were passed on to a couple, Ray and Melanie Young, also residents of El Paso. Melanie studied the oddities of the smaller skull. She noticed the striking deformities. As fate would have it Melanie was a neonatal nurse. After studying the skull she came to the conclusion that the abnormalities were not the result of any “normal” human deformity.
The Youngs sought the assistance of an outside researcher. They found Lloyd Pye.
Pye, an author and avid researcher, agreed to study the skull and determine its nature and origin. To that end he established the “Starchild Project” in early 1999. During the past decade this project has overseen the investigation, analysis and study of the skull. Bringing together a team of medical researchers from the United States, Canada and Great Britain, Pye has slowly and painstakingly accumulated data. He claims this data – ranging from scanning the structure to DNA testing – has lent credence to his assertion that the skull is not wholly of this earth but an amalgam of human and alien DNA.
The Research
A groundswell of support is developing around the hypothesis that the skull is more than human. Dr. Ted Robinson, a Vancouver, B.C. craniofacial surgeon who trained at the Mount Vernon Centre for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Middlesex, contends that preliminary data seems to support Pye’s claim. Dr. Robinson spent a year analyzing the skull with advanced medical technology. His conclusion that the skull may well be partially alien has raised some eyebrows.
Skeptics Claim Skull a Deformity
When Lloyd Pye began his investigation of the skull in 1999 he made the assumption that the irregularities exhibited by the contours, ridges and thicknesses of the bone matter pointed to one or more natural deformities. There were enough anomalies, however, that he decided to investigate it further. According to Pye, this research has proven that the most common forms of deformities – cradle boarding and Hydrocephalus cannot account for the physical anomalies present.
Cradle boarding is customarily done for convenience or as a cultural cosmetic change to the shape of the skull. In most cases the process is achieved by binding a wood slat to an infant’s skull. Some cultures in Africa and Asia once followed this practice. The wood flattens or misshapes the skull as the bone is still malleable and green. Forensic testing of the skull proved that cradle boarding was not associated with the malformations of the alien starchild skull.
“This could not have been caused by any kind of flattening or binding device because the surface of the occipital reveals the subtle convolutions inevitably present in unaltered skulls. Skulls that undergo any kind of shaping technique will always reveal such technique with a distortion of the bone surface… it is entirely safe to say that the extreme flattening of the skull was caused by its natural growth pattern and is not artificial.” – Dr. Ted Robinson
The second most suggested reason for the odd shape of the skull is the medical condition called Hydrocephalus. This condition is caused by spinal fluid backing up into the brain casing causing a build-up of pressure which in turn causes parts of a skull to bulge or deform. Investigation here has shown that the uniformity of the anomalous shape of the skull cannot be accounted for by any type of Hydrocephalic condition.
“The skull does not have a shape consistent with internal pressure forcing the cranium to deform. Only the parietal regions of the skull, solid hard plates of bone, have been expanded, while the soft sutures remain unchanged. It is physically impossible to exert enough pressure on the skull, even in its soft infant stage, to change the shape of the solid parietal bones without affecting the soft suture lines.” – Dr. Ted Robinson
Otherworldly?
Forensic tests have determined that although the creature died about nine hundred years ago it’s skull is extremely well preserved. The reason for this came as a shock: the skull is not composed of normal human bone cells but rather from an unknown substance that – when compared to Homo sapiens’ skulls – is significantly stronger and lighter.
“The material is ridiculously strong,” explained Dr Jason Eshleman, Senior Research Director of Trace Genetics in Davis, California. “It’s like nothing I’ve ever come across before. It’s entirely natural but half the weight of bone and twice as strong. It’s very odd.”
How could something lighter than human bone density be structurally stronger? Researchers puzzled over this until they analyzed pieces of the skull under the microscope. What they discovered was jaw-dropping. Embedded throughout the bone structure of the skull are tough red fibers of an unknown material. No known creature on earth exhibits anything like it – including humans or any of the ape family.
Pye also asserts that “”You can’t find any part of the skull that’s the same as the human equivalent. We’ve documented twenty-four distinct physical differences between the Starchild skull and that of a typical human. Everything – from its overall shape to the dimensions of the skull, inner ear, eye sockets and neck – is completely different [than a human skull].”
So the question still begs for an answer. Is the alien starchild skull authentic? Lloyd Pye and twelve scientists with good reputations believe it is real. They have gone on record stating their belief. Pye himself argues that the definitive DNA test – one costing about $150,000 to perform – will be the ultimate arbitrator of the debate. If the tests come back positive for alien DNA [from the father, we already know the mother was human] then proof of intelligent alien life exists.
Pye is in the process of raising the money to have the test done. It is a long and torturous process. Not many people are willing to donate significant sums of money to discover if a nine hundred year old skull at the center of a controversy could really be the missing link to the stars.
So far the objective science is leaning towards the skull being something unique. That in itself is remarkable. The skeptic’s counter-arguments have been proven to be misstatements or dismissal of certain data out of hand – not a very scientific approach.
The jury is still out on this one and the verdict may not be forthcoming until that final DNA test, if then.
But what do you think? Looking at the evidence so far, do you think the alien starchild skull is authentic?
