Laws are defined as being rules of conduct for the way that physical objects behave in the environment. For example, there are those laws of motion and of gravity and a whole lot of other laws of behavior that legally apply to all of us on our Earth, no matter where on this Earth that we happen to live.
It is also true that that some laws never change and it is true that new laws come into being as a result of additional knowledge or as a result of the actions of appointed, elected or self-proclaimed leaders within each of those places on our Earth.
Such is the case for the people in which we elected to sit on the seats within our grand and glorious Government Buildings within the United States of America. Generally speaking, those elected politicians whose duty it is to “Obey, Protect and Defend the Constitution of the United States of America” hold those positions of power to insure the safety and well being of the Citizens within our Country.
For the good of the majority, new legislation, which might or might not become new laws of the land, are submitted to those Governmental bodies for further consideration, debate and the eventual vote to pass or not pass into law the bills for consideration that become the daily work of those Governing Bodies. In so doing, those bills can originate within the House of Representatives or the Senate where they are approved and subsequently sent to that other house of our Legislative Branch of our Government where that process is begun all over again.
The President of the United States of America can also introduce new legislation to the Legislative Branch of our Government and the same process of approval is also applied to those proposals. Then again, the people can demand action on the part of all of their elected politicians to pass such legislation for the good of the majority as well.
Once such bills are approved by majority vote in each of those houses of our Government that bill is then presented to the president for his final approval of what was created by the Legislative Branch. He can then approve what was done or he can reject it. Such rejections will then require a two-thirds approval of both Houses, upon which bill will become a new law of the land.
In the case where a dictator, King or some such self-proclaimed leader of the people, can simply declare what it desires to be lawful conduct on the part of the people who are subjects of his or her rule. That particular law or laws might not be any good for any person beside the person at the top and those who truly support that person.
There is one thing that I am truly sure about. When new laws are created, the creator fully expects those new laws to be obeyed by those for which they were primarily created, as well as those laws that remain in force until some other person in power decides that those laws no longer apply. Life is truly complicated enough, without some person telling each of us what we can or cannot do for ourselves.
