Americans above all other nations are led to believe that nothing is impossible. It just takes a little more time than usual to achieve. Winning World War One and Two for example were possible . It just took the Americans a little more time than usual to achieve.
If such is the case then time travel is indeed possible. It is just a matter of time ,if you will excuse the pun, before some bright American will discover how it is done. It is just a case of finding enough Government funding and good old American know how.
I have a suspicion that somewhere in Rothwell there is a hangar that already contains a time machine built by aliens. I heard that its existence has probably been kept secret because the scientists have only worked out how to send people back in time but have not been able to bring them back to the present time to prove the machine works. I don’t really know if this is true or just some conspiracy theory . Strange objects have been reported in the night skies. These objects could well be the time machine , bits and pieces of volunteers, or just an alien space craft . Who knows?
Also in Ohio you have people living there in some time warp. Sure they tell you they haven’t been sent back in time and are living in the present time but do they really expect us to believe that? Just look at how they live? Are they kidding? Where are all the drugs and violence of today’s society? One thing is for certain though. They are not modern people sent back in time by any so called time machine stored in a hangar at Rothwell. They could well be proof of people sent back in time with no way of coming back into the present.
Maybe the Americans need a threat to their national pride to come up with a time travel machine. The Russians were the first to put a satellite into orbit and so start a space race to the moon. The Americans of course won although it could have been just a case of who had the most money to spend. Just suppose the US economy was strong and could provide a secret loan to the Russians to publicly challenge the Americans to come up with a time travel machine that actually worked without blowing up in the skies . The Russians could go back in time before the machine was built and convince the Americans that the machine did work and there was every chance the loan would be repaid once they worked out a use for it.
I did watch the three part movies “Back to the Future.”For almost the entire length of the each movie the two main characters did nothing but run into complications trying to sort out the mess caused by time travel. I know it was fiction but the fiction of the past does have a way of becoming the fact of the future. Jules Verne made uncanny insights into the future.
Somehow I am glad that time travel may well prove too costly to be possible. Maybe the fiction of “Back to the Future” was an insight to the problems that could arise it time travel was possible. There are too many “what ifs” to answer.
Supposing the Russians built a time machine. What if a Russian person traveled back in time and told the Russian scientists how the Americans put a man on the moon and the Russians won the space race? What sort of blow would that have been to the American pride? What if the Americans had no time machine of their own but tried to convince the American public of its existence by showing them movies of Amish people?
You do see my point I hope. There would be just too many “What ifs” if indeed time travel was possible.
