Hypercanes Natural Disasters Storm Super Storm Hurricane

We all are familiar with hurricanes, some people have now fully obtained a sense of the awesome power and energy that one can create, since hurricane Katrina our eyes have opened more to the capabilities of this monstrous wind titans who’s wind speed can reach up to 155 mph or more, but are they really the worst storm nature can conjure up? Hypercanes, a living nightmare which could cause mass desolation in an area so large its hard to even embrace the idea something like this even exists. Imagine a
massive tower of wind that stretches out to the heavens, and laid out across entire continent.

So how exactly are these gigantic cyclones even possible? As we all know hurricanes draw there energy from the temperature of the ocean, typically a hurricane requires a temperature of at least 80 degrees Fahrenheit that extends to at least 50 meters deep in order to develop. Now If we were to have a ocean temperature that were to reach 122 degrees Fahrenheit which is 15 degrees hotter that the highest recorded ocean temperature, we get the violent birth of a hypercane. So we have never seen ocean temperatures that could reach this recorded breaking high but some theorize that enough underwater volcanic activity, a super-volcanic eruption, or a asteroid impact could trigger this phenomenon, but if this were to happen it wouldn’t be exactly one hypercane that would form. In the event of a super-volcanic eruption or an asteroid hit that produced this heat it could last for weeks producing a flow of hypercanes.

The damage produced by a hypercane could be catastrophic with there wind speed reaching up to and beyond 700 mph it would devastate every thing in there wake, and with a area of the size of North America we would see whole continents engulfed by natures most destructive force. To give you a idea on how powerful this is we should look further at hurricane Katrina which was the sixth strongest hurricane recorded in the Atlantic ocean at least 1,836 people died in this event due to the storm and the floods accompanying it. The destruction that Katrina produced was even seen a 100 miles away from the storms center, and caused a estimated 81.2 billion dollars in damage but hurricane Katrina had only 175 mph winds and a area of about the size of Texas, a hypercane would be just about 4 times as powerful as Katrina.

Most people are probably saying to them selves well why should we be worrying if it is only theoretical and the temperature required to make one have never even been recorded on Earth so whats the big deal, well the fact of the matter is that recent studies by National Geographic have shown that ocean temperatures are getting hotter. Another study shows that from the year 1995 to 2005 the average number of storms increased to 15, with 8 hurricanes and 7 tropical storms due to the rising ocean temperature. So with this additional heat acquired as the years progress would make the scenario of a hypercane more realistic, are we really going to just blow this off like we have done in the past like we have done to global warming of course as history shows we never take anything seriously until its at our front door.
