Nature can be found in the simplest of things to the most complex and in every location. Without nature, survival is impossible, and it is perhaps for that reason that some wish to tame it.
Many see nature as a battle arena rather than a home; an arena that has no rules when it comes to survival. It could even be said by some that the savage, primitive form of survival in nature can clearly be depicted in the evolution of all organisms. These organisms can range from microscopic bacteria to any kind of plant to animals of all sizes. This evolution is based off of Darwin’s theory of survival of the fittest and ultimately results in the murder of weaker organisms.
Nature is infinite, yes, but its resources are finite. Industrialists and capitalistic citizens feel those finite resources should be conquered and exploited. To them it is a game of adaptation between nature and humans. The humans must win or rather it has appeared that the humans have already won. Therefore, according to them, nature cannot thrive without being dependent on human rule. With their cruel arrogance they say that it would be a favor to nature to let the “weaker” species perish.
Some would even go as far as to say that by defying nature, they are offering it new opportunities to grow into something improved. If a future of improvement cannot be seen in a species, some feel there is no reason to indulge in its reliance. They feel that because nature no longer has anything to offer them, it is no longer needed.
Nature is spontaneous and the energies emitted into the world are unpredictable. That unstable mass of energy, in actuality, is what keeps everything in balance. However, some may beg to differ. Through the use of technology, which has become increasingly advanced, meteorologists and those in similar professions wish to track the movements of this energy and predict its future happenings. Technology will only continue to advance and soon, if not already, people are going to aim towards the harnessing of this energy. There is great confidence in the technology of any nation and humans are fairly confident in the cloning technology beginning to take root in the world. Genetic engineering, a man made creation, may be the answer to these pleas of superiority over nature. Earth’s resources will then be not so finite.
