Tips on What to Use to Make Hair Grow Fast

Hair is one of the most fascinating parts of the body. Some people grow hair easily, while others struggle their entire lives to grow a full head of it. Some people’s hair is silky smooth, while others is naturally oily and thick. Whichever way your genes run, there are many ways to help you hair grow faster.

Eat Well

First and foremost, keeping a healthy diet is crucial for giving your body the correct tools to grow your hair. Eliminate smoking, alcohol, caffeine and carbonated sodas, all of which can weaken your body.

Since hair is made of protein, a diet that is high in protein, including meats, fish, nuts, etc., is also important. Also make sure you are getting a good supply of all the vitamins and minerals that are found in fruits and vegetables. This will give your body the best potential for rapid hair growth.

Stimulate the Scalp

Massaging your scalp for just a few minutes a day can help stimulate the hair cells under your skin and increase their productivity.

Keep Clean

Use all-natural quality shampoo and conditioner, which helps keep your hair clean. This rids your scalp of bacteria that could potentially stunt your hair growth.

Keep the Hot Air Away

Do not blow dry your hair, straighten it, or use overly hot water. All of these may damage your hair cells, thus affecting its potential to grow.

Treat Your Hair Well

Do not brush your hair more than you need to. Allow wet hair to dry a fair amount before pulling your brush through those knots. By brushing your scalp too many times, you are killing cells and stunting their ability to multiply and grow.

Putting hair dyes, gel or other artificial products in your hair also kill the cells that are trying to help your hair grow.

Supplements to Help

Vitamin A is an antioxidant, which promotes a healthy amount of sebum in the scalp. Sebum is the oily liquid given off by mammals’ skin glands, in turn making hair waterproof. The daily recommended dose for Vitamin A is 5,000 IUs. Foods high in Vitamin A include meat, eggs, cheese, cabbage, spinach, carrots, milk and peaches. Don’t consume more than 25,000 IUs of Vitamin A or it can become toxic and cause hair loss.

Vitamins B12 and B6 can both help prevent hair loss. They create melanin, which can contribute to hair color. Foods high in Vitamins B12 and B6 include yeast, vegetables, whole grains, meats, egg yolks and milk. The daily recommended dose for these is between 1.6 and 2.0 mg per day. Don’t overdose on these vitamins or numbness can occur.
