Whether from lack of sleep, crying or even sleeping with your face buried in your pillow, puffy eyes are an affliction that many people will deal with at one time or another. Apparent usually when you climb out of bed and catch your first glimpse of yourself in the mirror, puffy eyes are a problem you need to deal with in order to put your best face forward. If you’re looking to eliminate eye bags before you start your day, it only takes a few minutes out of your morning routine.
Get Rid of the Bags With a Cold Compress
Step 1
Soak a clean washcloth in cold water.
Step 2
Squeeze the washcloth to expel all of the excess moisture.
Step 3
Lie back and place the cold cloth over your eyes, making sure it makes direct contact with the puffy areas. Use your hands to help keep a mild pressure on the cloth.
Step 4
Keep the cold cloth over your eyes for five to 10 minutes to eliminate the bags.
Step 5
Remove the cold cloth and look in the mirror. Repeat the process as needed until the bags are gone.
Get Rid of the Bags With Cucumbers
Step 1
Grate a small cucumber into small pieces with a grater.
Step 2
Squeeze handfuls of the grated cucumber to expel the excess moisture.
Step 3
Place the grated cucumber into a bowl and add enough basil tea to cover the cucumber. you can purchase basil tea bags anywhere that tea is sold in bags or in a loose-leaf variety. Follow the manufacturers’ instructions for how to make it, depending on the type and brand you purchased.
Step 4
Pour the mixture into ice trays and place it in the freezer until it is solid.
Step 5
Touch the puffy areas of your eyes gently with the ice cubes to eliminate the eye bags. Keep a clean cloth handy to wipe away any excess moisture that melts off. Keep touching the bags under your eyes with the ice cubes until the swelling has gone down and you can see the difference.
