Overview
While taking the time to visit a spa for a facial and hair treatment may not always be possible, you can have a spa treatment at home in less than an hour. Gather all of your supplies before you begin, and prepare a place for yourself to relax with your feet up. Turn on relaxing music, light candles and send your family members out for a while so that you can pamper yourself in privacy.
Step 1
Dampen your hair with a spray bottle filled with water. Rub almond oil through your hair, and wrap your hair in plastic wrap. Cover with a towel that is warm from the dryer.
Step 2
Take a leisurely soak in the tub. If desired, burn scented candles in the bathroom, or add some bath oils or salts to the water. Soak for 20 minutes.
Step 3
Rub your face gently with a washcloth, and your body with an exfoliating scrub or loofah. Turn on the shower and rinse off all traces of cleanser and dry skin. Remove the towel and plastic wrap from your head, and shampoo and condition your hair.
Step 4
Step out of the shower and pat yourself dry with a soft towel. Smooth body lotion onto your skin to moisturize. Put on a bathrobe and wrap your damp hair in a towel.
Step 5
Apply a facial mask, being careful not to put it too close to your eyes. Choose a mask geared toward your skin type. Relax with your feet up while the mask dries.
Step 6
Rinse the mask off of your face. Pat dry and apply moisturizer. If desired, apply make up. Blow dry and style your hair.
