Overview
Eyebrow hair can be hard to regrow after over-plucking or waxing. Use an eyebrow pencil to improve your eyebrows’ appearance while you wait for the eyebrow hair to return. Before attempting to regrow your eyebrows, however, rule out any underlying medical condition, such as thyroid disease, hormone changes and fungal infections, by visiting your doctor.
Step 1
Massage the eyebrows. Stimulate regrowth by improving circulation in the area. Apply a small amount of coconut oil to the skin and use small circular strokes with your fingertips.
Step 2
Apply an eyebrow growth-stimulation product. There are several over-the-counter products which contain a blend of nutrients and herbs to get your eyebrows to grow again. Examples of these products include LiBrow and Talika Eyebrow Lipocils Conditioning Gel. Apply the solution twice per day directly on the skin where you want growth to occur.
Step 3
Eat a well-balanced diet. To get hair to grow anywhere on the body, you need to get proper nutrients from food. Your selections should be high in iron, protein, B vitamins, vitamin E and vitamin C. Eat plenty of fish, poultry, green leafy vegetables, milk, citrus fruits, beans, nuts and seeds. If you are worried that you are not getting enough nutrients from food sources, supplements formulated for hair, nails and skin health are available at nutritional supply stores.
Step 4
Speak to your doctor about using minoxidil to get your eyebrows to grow back. Minoxidil is a topical hair-loss drug that opens up the hair follicles to allow hair to grow. It is typically used to grow hair on the scalp, but is effective in other areas of the body as well.
