Motivated by ignorance, fear, or lack of understanding, we tend to dismiss that for which we have no frame of reference. A person in possession of all his faculties would not lend credence to the ravings of someone obviously mentally challenged. BUT, how does one dismiss out of hand, the testimony of intelligent men of sound mind, well credentialed and respected in their respective fields of endeavor?
This is the case with Dr. Steven Greer, founder of the Disclosure Project. Who is Dr. Steven Greer? I asked that exact question in an online search and obtained the following information at, http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/disclosure/esp_disclosure_project_a.htm, “Dr. Greer is a lifetime member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the nation’s most prestigious medical honor society. Dr. Greer is an emergency physician and former chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in North Carolina.”
Since its inception in 1993, the Disclosure Project has identified several hundred top-secret military, government and other witnesses to UFO and Extraterrestrial events. These witnesses come from every branch of the armed services, including other agencies and countries. Want to blow your mind? Read some of their statements: http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/sociopolitica/sociopol_greer06a.htm
The obvious advantage of concealing information relating to extraterrestrials and the advanced technological and scientific knowledge obtained from research conducted on their means of travel would be enough of an incentive not to share such information with the world. Any nation that holds within its grasp the knowledge and ability to produce technologically advanced energy systems and weaponry controls the world: and entertains the notion of ruling the universe as well.
No sane person can honestly harbor the belief that man alone is the only intelligent life form in the universe. To discredit or to dismiss as lunatics those who claim to speak the truth, is to mock all of humankind and to consider us fools. If governments hold in secret information about the existence of other beings far superior in intelligence and technology for the safety of their people, one can consider this a noble, yet dangerous, rationalization. However, of far more benefit to the people of the world would be the declassification of information that can lead to the development of major advances for humanity. Unfortunately, considering the state of development of the human race, it is far more likely that war and domination are the motivation for keeping the possible existence of this information classified.
D. Greer should not cease in his efforts to gather credible documentation and witnesses and to increase public awareness of his campaign. If he is merely a publicity seeker promoting self-interests, then, what devious motivation prompted all those respected, intelligent, well-credentialed witnesses to give testimony? If they are just a bunch of crazies seeking yet another fifteen minutes of fame, they sure fooled me!
